A Slate comes with everything you need to charge at home, no need to buy anything extra. With the included charging cable, you can charge using a regular household outlet. If you have access to a 240-volt outlet (the kind of outlet used for dryers, stoves and other appliances), you can charge faster with Level 2 charging. Many EV owners choose to purchase an optional wall-mounted charging station, which can add convenient features like cable storage and Wi-Fi connectivity, but you don’t necessarily need one to charge at home.

Many people think you need to install special equipment to charge an EV at home. We’re here to tell you: if you can charge your phone, you can charge a Slate. So, if you’re new to EVs and it seems a little, well, technical, we got you.

LEVEL 1 – HOUSEHOLD OUTLET

Use the included Slate charging cable • No need to purchase extras • Adds 2 to 5 miles per hour of charge • Overnight charge adds 20 to 50 miles

LEVEL 2 – APPLIANCE OUTLET

Use the included Slate charging cable • No need to purchase extras • Adds 25 to 40 miles per hour of charge • Full charge in 4-8 hours

LEVEL 3 – PUBLIC CHARGING

A charging cable will be provided at the charge point • Works with the most popular, widely available charging networks in the country • 20 to 80% charge in 30 minutes

Got a road trip planned? These trips are all doable on a single charge of our standard battery. If you want to go even farther, our extended range battery increases the range to a projected 240 miles from a projected 150 miles.*
