Slate is a new American automaker established in 2022 focused on delivering a radically personalizable, reliable and affordable, electric vehicle. Our truck is so customizable that it can transform from a 2-seat pickup to a 5-seat SUV. Slate was founded on a disruptive business model of simplifying the manufacturing process and reindustrializing America.
America has spoken, and we’ve taken well over 100,000 reservations for the Slate truck to date. We plan to begin deliveries in late 2026. Because the Slate truck is designed to be personalized, you’ll have the opportunity to both repair and accessorize Slate vehicles.
RepairPal Certification not only allows shops to work on Slate EVs, it also drives additional traffic to your business from customers seeking service on a variety of vehicles, including Slate owners.
Slate is partnering with RepairPal to establish certification criteria for making repairs, ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality service. RepairPal certified shops will be presented to our customers for booking appointments.
RepairPal will provide information about how to become a Certified shop. Once you’re Certified, you will be able to work on Slate vehicles. Slate will provide additional training, to ensure that Certified shops have the required knowledge of the Slate vehicle to successfully assist our customers.
The Slate EV is designed for simplicity and DIY, making it easy for an ASE or similar Certified technicians to quickly understand the vehicle. Certified shops have access to technical resources, documentation, and virtual training through our upcoming Slate University program. In some cases, direct technical assistance may be provided.
We’re taking the Slate on the road as part of the countrywide Slate to State Tour. We’d be happy to meet you in person and answer any questions. We’ll also be hosting virtual seminars with more info.
